Happy Full Planting Moon!
The Planting Moon represents the time of year when the soil has finally thawed enough for planting.
Seedlings are able to root downward while simultaneously breaking up through the soil towards the sun.
This Full Moon is a powerful time for our goals and holds deep symbolism for us and our own goals. Take time to check in with your New Moon intentions today. Notice your progress and make the preparations for the next steps you need to take.
Tonight's Full Moon takes place in the sign of Libra, which brings balance and harmony to the forefront of our minds. Libra also affects partnerships and relationships, this might cause us to notice what is out of balance in our personal relationships.
Mercury is Retrograde until the 15th of April, and Venus moved into Taurus today. This is going to continue to put a big spotlight on our relationships and how we communicate with one another. It's important to be gentle with ourselves and others.
Be aware of how your actions and words can either help or harm others. Every word that you speak holds the same power as a seed. Use this power wisely.
During last month's New Moon Energy Reading we pulled Taurus: The Lovers. This card shows us the importance of gentleness right now. With Venus moving into Taurus today our relationships and our selves will need some extra love. We have so much going on up in the skies right now, the best thing we can do is extend some love.
Taurus is an Earth Sign and pulling this card also shows how much we need grounding from Mother Earth right now! For tonight’s Full Moon Ceremony we are going to get our hands a bit dirty.
Soil is full of negative ions that can not only help boost our moods and serotonin levels, but it helps stabilize blood pressure and boosts our immune system!
This ceremony also takes the physical act of planting a seed along with our intention to help solidify it within ourselves as well as giving the universe an extra boost with our determined action.
Full moon intention planting ceremony.
Having a plant represent your intention can help remind you of what you "planted." It acts as an anchor for us; each time we see it, we are reminded of the goals that we have put into the soil for ourselves.
You will need:
- your intention( from last new moon preferably)
- A seed or plant that needs repotting
- Pot for planting
- Moon water
- Crystals or other items that support your intention.
1. Write your intention on a new slip of paper. Be sure to write your intention in present tense. Using "I am" phrases rather than "I want" can be helpful when making and setting intentions.
You can use your intention from last New Moon, or use an entirely new one. It's best to keep the intention short and sweet, and write it on a small piece of paper.
2. Fill a new pot with fresh soil and add your intention to the base of the soil. Add a bit of water to this base soil and a little bit more soil. The soil should become maluable almost like a loose clay.
3. Plant your seed or re-pot a plant that needs it.
Don't forget to break up the roots gently of the plant you are repotting, and be give it some soil from it's "home" pot to help keep it comfortable.
4. Water your plant with Moon Water until the soil is sufficiently damp. (Water that has been left out in the moonlight will hold the lunar energy, and can be very beneficial to us and our house plants!)
5. Decorate your plant with crystals or items that represent your intention to you.
If you are like me, you can even give your plant a name to help solidify the intention even more. I named this one Treasure to help me remember my intention as well as give my plant a bit of a personality.
Having a plant represent an intention can help remind you of what it is that you have planted. It also acts as an reminder for us each time we pass it or see it.
Take notice of the growth and see how it correlates with your intention and goals. All things in life are connected; remember to give the plant and your goals/intentions adequate attention and energy for growth and progression.
Charge your plant under the full moonlight and continue giving it moon water and your attention when you can.
Don’t forget to charge your deck and crystals under the moonlight tonight!
We would love to see a photo of your intention plant! Please share with us on instagram or in the comments!
